Midfield Satellite Concourse - LAX - Los Angeles, California- LEED GOLD (Projected)
The LAX Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) North is a multi-level concourse terminal designed to be consistent with the campus-wide architectural vision for LAX and compliment the iconic new Tom Bradley International Terminal. The facility, to be completed by 2020, would be designed to serve both domestic and international flights. This is the first Progressive Design Build Project for Los Angeles World Airport, and is intended to become the delivery model of choice for future projects.
rggroup provided the following services:
Development of new processes and team organizational structures for Alternative project delivery (Design Build);
Project risk assessment between Integrated Design Build versus CM@Risk delivery models;
Development of MSC project scope of work, project requirements (Division 1), adaptation of General Conditions and Special Conditions for a Design Build Delivery, and related project documentation;
Drafting significant sections of the project RFP and performance requirements;
RFP review, assessment, interview questions and recommendations;
Development of Project Management Plan (PMP);
Risk assessment and process management throughout project duration with reports to senior LAWA leadership;
Team guidance and performance reviews;
Coaching on peer review/shoulder-to-shoulder process management to maintain a collaborative environment and maintain project quality;
Pre-construction management during the progressive development of the project design;
Provide guidance on the development of the project Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP);
Development of industry outreach programs for subcontractors and specialty contractors.
